Country Club of Hilton Head, Hilton
Head Plantation
A Rees Jones design that opened in 1986, the
Country Club course is a demanding, rolling layout
that rambles through wide open expanses, pine and
oak woodlands, freshwater ponds and marshes. There
are also some scenic glimpses of Skull Creek on the
back nine. Heavily contoured fairways and undulating
greens, pot and sculpted bunkers and grass hollows
give the course a great deal of character, and make
it a superb test of golf. Playing from 5,373 to
6,919 yards, the Country Club course also features
13 doglegs, four par fours that measure more than
400 yards and two par fives that stretch more than
575 yards.
