Oyster Reef Golf
Club, Hilton Head, SC
One of the finest golf courses in
the beautiful Low Country of South Carolina is
situated in Hilton Head Plantation on Hilton Head
Island. Opened in 1982, it was immediately
recognized as one of the top 25 new courses in
America, a tribute to nationally acclaimed course
designer, Rees Jones. Jones took complete advantage
of the natural features of the land, transforming
low areas into beautiful lagoons and creating
magnificent tree-lined corridors from tee to green.
Mr. Jones said, "I designed Oyster Reef to be a
beautiful, strategically challenging course with
fairness in mind on each of its 18 holes. I also
felt it important that a golfer should never cease
to enjoy playing Oyster Reef."
